Swiftcurrent Happenings Week 13

8/20/21 Today after work a group of people chose to play some board games. What we didn't realize was that we would remain playing board games for 8 hours! I got off of work and made a phone call about a potential job opportunity and then once Amos got off we all gathered in the Dungeon, staffing basement, and started playing Rail Baron. It came close to ending after about 5 hours but another player in the game stopped the person from winning so the game continued for another hour. We then played the game Secret Hitler for 3 hours. There were lots of laughs and interesting game experiences. It was an awesome afternoon/evening, especially since it was raining all day. Tomorrow I am working because my manager is out of town, so it will be my first Saturday on the job since I started in June. 8/21/21 This morning there was an older gentleman that came in and starting charging his camera battery in the lobby.   MAIL Quinn Endicott/SWC  110 9th Street West Columbia Falls, MT 59912 8/13/21 Today was another regular shift at Swiftcurrent. Although with it being Friday the 13th there was talk of having a movie night in the dungeon. The talk turned out to just be talk because when I got off of work at 8pm there was no movie happening. So we ended up leaving for the trail head at 5:30am and then didn't get on the trail until 6:00am because of stretching, packing, and eating. The sun was barely up when we did start and we took off on the Cracker Lake trail. We hiked for about 4 miles until we started following a creek bed up the mountain side. This wa

A friend from the St. Mary valley asked if I wanted to join them at their employee prom. Since I was going to stay over at their apartment already I decided that I would go ahead and go. I was hoping the music would be fun to dance to but was sadly disappointed by the guy who was in charge of the music. At one point I asked him if he could play Uptown Funk as to which he drunkenly replied, "$!&@ you, we aren't playing white people music!" It was not the response I was expecting but I laughed anyways. Ironically he was an upper class white male who goes to school in Europe. We ended up leaving the prom a little bit after that interaction and then heading to bed. Before bed though one of my friends read the story You are Special  and I hadn't listened to a bedtime story in a while. It was quite relaxing hearing a story before bed, especially one that h
